Dhaka, Feb. 16 -- The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) is expected to start selling some key essential commodities at subsidised prices in nine metropolitan areas from tomorrow, ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
The products will be sold from TCB trucks.
Edible oil, sugar, lentil, chickpea, and dates will be sold at Tk 115 per litre, Tk 80 per kg, Tk 70 per kg, Tk 60 per kg, and Tk 160 per kg, respectively.
A consumer can purchase two litres of edible oil, one kg of sugar, two kilograms of lentil, one kg of chickpea, and half a kg of dates at a time.
Commodities will be sold from 450 trucks in the areas, including Dhaka and Chattogram, until March 12, according to a document.
