Dhaka, March 24 -- BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Monday wished former Bangladesh cricket captain Tamim Iqbal's speedy recovery as he suffered a heart attack.

In a post on his verified Facebook page, Tarique said, "Cricketer Tamim Iqbal, get well soon."

The BNP leader also prayed to the Almighty Allah for his quick healing, UNB reports.

Tamim Iqbal was hospitalised after he suffered a heart attack during a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) ground in Savar on Monday morning.

He regained consciousness after undergoing a stent procedure at a hospital in Savar.
