Dhaka, March 1 -- Home Adviser Lieutenant General Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) today (Saturday) asked all concerned to take action considering crime, not party.

"We're not working for the benevolence of any party. Whatever needs to be done is being done for the welfare of the country," he said, BSS reports.

The Home Adviser said no one in the administration has been told by any department to show sympathy to people of any party.

"If leaders and activists of any party are involved in encroachment or any other crime, the concerned have been instructed to take strict action against them based on evidence," he said.
