Dhaka, Sept. 23 -- Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) administration on Monday allowed student politics on campus again, after it was banned last year, to maintain campus discipline.

A notice signed by the university registrar, Syed Solim Md Abdul Kadir, stated that all political activities by student organisations must obtain prior approval from the university proctor.

The decision follows a unanimous recommendation during a meeting on August 18 between the proctorial committee and representatives of all student organisations, UNB reports.
