Dhaka, Dec. 18 -- A Dhaka court has remanded Khadija Yasmin Bithi, daughter of top criminal Subrata Bain, to police custody for questioning in the murder case of Jubo Dal leader Arif for five days.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haque issued the order following a hearing on Thursday, bdnews24.com reports.
Sub-Inspector Arif Reza of the Prosecution Department said that the court granted a five-day remand after hearing the investigation officer's seven-day remand application.
During the hearing, Bithi was presented to the court. Her legal counsel Badal Mia petitioned for the scrapping of the remand order, while state counsel Barrister Syed Golam Martuja Ibne Islam argued in support of the remand petition.
