Dhaka, Jan. 26 -- Students from seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University (DU) blocked major intersections in the capital on Sunday, protesting against what they described as "indecent behavior" by DU's Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Mamun Ahmed.
The students began their demonstration at 6:30 pm, barricading key points including Science Lab Mor, Technical Mor, and Tantibazar Road, causing significant traffic disruptions in the area.
The protesters alleged that when they approached the Pro-VC to discuss issues concerning the seven colleges, he treated them disrespectfully and forced them out of his room.
The students have vowed to continue their protest until the Pro-VC publicly apologises for his'misconduct'.
