Dhaka, July 10 -- Girls are once again leading boys in terms of the pass rate and GPA-5 count in their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.
This year, the pass rate for girls was 71.03 percent, compared to 65.88 percent for boys.
Girls are also significantly ahead in achieving GPA-5s, reports bdnews24.com.
Of the 139,032 who achieved the prestigious score, there were 65,416 boys and 73,616 girls.
This means 8,200 more girls achieved a GPA-5.
Last year, the pass rate for the public exams was 83.04 percent, with 182,129 scoring a GPA-5.
