Dhaka, July 23 -- At least six people, including five women, were killed in a head-on collision between a microbus and a truck in Baraigram upazila of Natore on Wednesday morning.

The identities of the dead have not yet been confirmed.

He said the accident occurred around 10:30am when the Dhaka-bound microbus from Natore crashed into the truck in Sirampur Araimari Bridge area, leaving five dead on the spot and two others, including the microbus driver, injured.

Locals took the injured two to a nearby hospital where physicians declared one of them dead upon arrival, he said, adding that the condition of the injured driver was stated to be critical, reports UNB.
