Dhaka, April 28 -- Six people were killed and another person injured in lightning strikes in Cumilla, Netrokona, and Sunamganj districts on Monday.

In Cumilla, four people were killed and a teenager was injured in lightning strikes in Muradnagar and Barura upazilas on Monday, according to agency reports.

The victims include two farmers, who died in Muradnagar's Kurbanpur, and two students, killed in Barura's Haripur, according to police and witnesses.

The injured teenager was taken to the Cumilla Medical College Hospital in critical condition, witnesses said.
