Dhaka, April 9 -- Commerce Adviser Sk. Bashir Uddin has urged Singapore to import different products, including frozen fishes, potatoes, tea and seasonal fruits, from Bangladesh.
At a meeting with Singapore Ambassador Derek Loh at the secretariat office on Tuesday, the adviser also discussed improving bilateral relations and increasing trade and business volume. An enhancement in trade volume can help strengthen relations between the two nations, he said.
Derek Loh said there is huge a demand for seasonal fruits in Singapore. He also expressed his interests in importing mangoes, lichis and bananas. Senior officials of commerce ministry were present in the meeting.
