Dhaka, May 22 -- In accordance with the instructions of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and the Agricultural & Rural Credit Policy of Bangladesh Bank, Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC has provided agricultural investment facilities of Tk 241 lakh (24.1 million) to the ethnic and the marginal farmers of Tangail district for cultivation of pulses, oilseeds, spices and maize for the fiscal year 2024-2025.

On 22 May 2025, agricultural investment cheques of Tk 241.00 lakh were distributed to 48 Ethnic Groups and Marginal Farmers through a program organised in Tangail district, according to a media release.
