Dhaka, Dec. 24 -- Residents of the southwestern district of Chuadanga are grappling with reducing temperatures as dense fog and chilling winds disrupt daily life.
Despite clear skies in the morning, the intensity of the cold persists, causing severe suffering, particularly, homeless and vulnerable people.
The local met office has reported that a mild cold wave is sweeping across the district. At 9:00 am on Wednesday, the district recorded this season's lowest temperature of 10.5degC, with 95 per cent of humidity.
Due to severe cold, Chuadanga Sadar Hospital has been experiencing an increase of patients who are mostly affected by rotavirus-induced diarrhea, pneumonia, and respiratory, reports UNB.
