Dhaka, Jan. 28 -- Students of seven colleges have withdrawn their plans to besiege New Market Police Station and halt Dhaka University buses.
After a meeting with the Adviser to the Ministry of Home Affairs Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and Information and Broadcasting Adviser Nahid Islam at the Secretariat on Tuesday, representatives of the colleges informed the media about their decision.
Moinul Hossain, a student of Dhaka College, said, "The government is positive about our six-point demands. The demands that could be addressed immediately have been fulfilled."
