Dhaka, Jan. 14 -- Students of seven government colleges in Dhaka have announced holding a blockade programme at several key intersections in the capital, demanding the issuance of an ordinance to establish the proposed Dhaka Central University, bringing the colleges under a single institution.

The announcement was made through a press release sent to the media on Tuesday (13 January).

According to the statement, students will block Science Lab, Technical Morh, and Tantibazar intersections from 11:00 am on Wednesday (14 January). The blockade is part of their demand for the formal issuance of the Dhaka Central University ordinance.
