Dhaka, Dec. 14 -- Seven Bangladeshi nationals, aged between 20 and 40, were detained from migrant worker dormitories in Singapore for suspected drug-related offences.

Singapore's Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) conducted a series of operations at several migrant worker dormitories across the country over the past four days, authorities said on Saturday.

In a statement, the CNB said the first arrest took place on Monday at a dormitory in Jurong West, where a 25-year-old Bangladeshi man was detained on suspicion of drug consumption.

On Tuesday, two more Bangladeshis were arrested during an operation at another dormitory in the Seletar area. A small quantity of "Ice" (methamphetamine) and various drug paraphernalia were seized from one of ...
