Dhaka, Dec. 29 -- The Secretariat will reopen on Sunday after a temporary closure caused by a devastating fire on the premises of the administrative heart of the government.

With power restored to all buildings except the fire-damaged Building No. 7, other ministries will face no difficulty resuming regular activities in their original offices, reports bdnews24.com.

However, operations for ministries housed in the damaged building will be conducted from alternative government offices across Dhaka.

The building houses several important offices on its 20 floors. Even when the head of government works from the Secretariat, they use an office in this building.
