Dhaka, May 28 -- Protesting workers at the Secretariat have announced that they will conduct an hour-long work stoppage every day until the Public Service Ordinance (Amendment), 2025, is repealed.

Badiul Kabir, co-chairman of the Secretariat Officers and Employees Unity Forum, made the announcement at a press conference at the Secretariat union's office on Wednesday, reports bdnews24.com.

The protesters have received indications that this "black law" will be repealed, he said.
