Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- The authorities at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (Ruet) have expelled four students, including president and general secretary of the university unit of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on charge of attacking the July uprising protesters last year.
Moreover, 41 BCL leaders and activists were banned from their dormitories for life on the same ground.
Those suspended permanently are Ruet unit president and also a Civil Engineering student Fahmid Latif Lyon, general secretary and Computer Science student Soumik Saha, BCL activists, Mechanical and Civil Engineering students Saswata Saha Sagar and Mrinmoy Kanti Biswas, according to a bdnews24.com report.
