Dhaka, Feb. 15 -- Driver of a battery-run rickshaw was found dead at Hotapara in Gazipur district on Saturday.

The deceased was Russel Bepari, 12, son of Abdul Kadir of Rudrapur Boherar Chala village in Sadar upazila, reports UNB.

His father said that Russel used to return home by 7:00 pm but he did not on Friday night.

Locals found his body in a forest area at Rudrapur of Hotapara early Saturday morning and informed police.

Sub-Inspector Suman of Joydebpur police station said the body was sent to the morgue at Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge of the police station Abdul Halim said his rickshaw might have been snatched.
