Dhaka, Dec. 2 -- Rice, fish, and meat remained the dominant drivers of food inflation in October, accounting for 99.78 per cent of the total, while a continued decline in vegetable prices helped temper overall price pressures, according to the General Economics Division (GED) of the Planning Commission.

The November edition of the Economic Update and Outlook shows rice alone contributed 47.01 per cent to food inflation, followed by fish at 39.33 per cent and meat at 13.44 per cent, while vegetables posted a negative contribution of 20.57 per cent.
