Dhaka, April 26 -- The country's reconditioned car dealers on Saturday urged the government to rationalise different taxes imposed on them.
They called for lowering the customs duty on hybrid cars, exempting supplementary duty on microbuses, and put an end to the discrimination on registration fees for new and reconditioned cars.
Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association (BARVIDA) leaders came up with the demands at a press conference held in a city hotel.
BARVIDA President Abdul Haque, Its Secretary General Reaz Rahman, and Vice President Saiful Islam (Somrat) were present, among others.
