Dhaka, May 26 -- Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in parts of the country in 24 hours commencing 9:00 am on Monday.

"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal & Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions, said a Met office bulletin, reports UNB.

Southwest monsoon has advanced up to Chattogram division and conditions are favourable for further advancement, it said.
