Dhaka, April 11 -- Bangladesh Meteorological Department predicted rains at some places in five divisions, including Chattogram, in next 24 hours, commencing 9:00 am on Friday.

"Rains or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, said a Met office bulletin.

During this period, weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, reports UNB.

Besides, a mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Sirajganj, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Feni, Chattogram and Patuakhali and it may abate from some places, reads the bulletin.
