Dhaka, Jan. 28 -- A closed-door meeting convened by Railway Advisor Fouzul Kabir Khan with ministry officials, railway officials, and leaders of the Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal (JSD) ended without a resolution to the ongoing running staff strike.

A source at the meeting said that no solution came out of the meeting.

The meeting, held at the Rail Bhaban in Dhaka on Tuesday, began at approximately 4:50 pm but excluded representatives from the striking running staff.

The JSD was represented at the meeting by a delegation led by its Chief Coordinator, Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas.

Earlier in the day, Railway Secretary Md Fahimul Islam and Bangladesh Railway Director General Md Afzal Hossain held discussions at Kamalapur Station.
