Dhaka, April 26 -- Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) nabbed on Friday a person for his alleged involvement in illegal VOIP (voice over internet protocol) business in the capital's Hazaribagh area while conducting a joint operation with Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

The arrestee was identified as Md Raju (38).

A huge quantity of illegal VOIP equipment and 1,547 SIMs (subscriber identity modules) of different mobile phone operators were also recovered from his possession.

RAB-2 Assistant Director and also Assistant Superintendent of Police Khan Asif Topu disclosed the development to the media.
