Dhaka, July 20 -- Six corruption cases against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her family over irregularities in the allocation of plots in the Purbachal New Town Project are now ready for trial.

Hasina and six members of her family are among 23 people implicated in the cases initiated by the Anti-Corruption Commission, reports bdnews24.com.

On Sunday, Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib ordered the transfer of the cases to the Special Judge's Court for trial proceedings.

Aminul Islam, assistant director of the ACC, said the suspects are absconding, and the publication of a gazette notice for their appearance in court has been mentioned in the case reports.
