Dhaka, Feb. 6 -- Protesters have vandalised and set fire to properties associated with the Awami League and its leaders in many places across Bangladesh, including in the capital, Dhaka.

The unrest, which began Wednesday evening, has spread to multiple districts.

The attacks coincided with an online address by Sheikh Hasina, who has been in exile since her government was toppled on Aug 5, urging her party members to resist the interim government.
