Dhaka, Sept. 3 -- The government on Tuesday approved a number of proposals for the procurement of fertiliser, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and phosphoric acid to meet the local demand.
The Advisers' Council Committee on Government Purchase at a meeting gave the approvals to this regard. Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed chaired the meeting held at the Bangladesh secretariat. Mr Ahmed joined virtually from abroad.
Under an approval, M/S TotalEnergies Gas & Power Ltd, United Kingdom will supply one cargo LNG to Petrobangla at a total cost of Tk 4.85 billion, where each unit of cargo will cost $11.549.
