Bangladesh, Jan. 13 -- President Abdul Hamid has asked teachers to turn every university of the country as a world class institution. He has emphasised improvement of quality of education a number of times while addressing convocation programmes recently. The head of state's call makes us optimistic about a change at a time when none of the Bangladeshi universities is in the list of top 500 reputed universities worldwide.
However, the President's advice requires follow-up from the government to improve educational atmosphere on the campus and raise funds for research and innovative activities.
