Dhaka, Feb. 7 -- Power Grid Company has declared a 387 per cent growth in profit in the second quarter through December of FY25, compared to the same quarter of FY24, on higher energy transmission and a reduction in finance cost.
Its profit stood at Tk 3.98 billion in October-December last year. EPS stood at Tk 4.36 in the quarter, increased from Tk 1.15 per share a year earlier.
Due to higher demand for electricity in the country, the state-run power transmission company earned 15 per cent higher revenue year-on-year to Tk 6.8 billion in Q2, FY25.
This increase in profit not only came from the surge in revenue but also due to the cooling of the dollar crisis.
