Dhaka, Aug. 29 -- Police have petitioned a court to keep former textiles and jute minister Abdul Latif Siddique and 15 others in jail in connection with a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

The application was filed on Friday by Shahbagh Police Station Sub-Inspector Toufiq Hasan, the investigating officer, bdnews24.com reports.

A hearing is expected to be held at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haque, according to Sub-Inspector Jinnat Ali of the prosecution wing at Shahbagh Police Station.
