Dhaka, May 16 -- Police have launched an operation to hunt down the youth who allegedly hurled a plastic water bottle at Information Adviser Mahfuj Alam while he was addressing the protesting students of Jagannath University.

Ramna Zone Assistant Police Commissioner (AC) Abdullah Al Mamun said on Thursday that efforts are underway to identify and locate the youth.

He said that the accused is being identified through video footage, and legal action will be taken against him.
