Dhaka, Feb. 17 -- A Dhaka court on Monday granted police two days to remand poet Sohel Hasan Galib in a case over contempt of religion.
The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, Dhaka gave the order upon a remand petition filed by the Detective Branch (DB).
In its petition, DB had sought a seven-day remand on Sunday, while Galib's lawyer filed a bail petition.
The court had scheduled the hearing for Monday.
Galib was produced before the court as scheduled. After hearing both sides, the court granted DB a two-day remand to question him.
