Dhaka, Jan. 6 -- The Planning Commission has approved the proposed Revised Annual Development Programme (RADP) worth Tk 2.0 trillion for the current fiscal year (FY2025-26), giving the highest priority to the transport and communications, power and energy, and housing sectors.

The extended meeting of the Planning Commission, held on Monday and chaired by Planning Adviser Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud, decided to place the proposal before the meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC), which is to be hosted soon.

Officials said the revised outlay is 13.04 per cent lower than the original ADP of Tk 2.3 trillion, approved ahead of the start of the fiscal year, as adjustments were made in line with resource constraints and implementation capacit...
