Dhaka, June 21 -- United International University (UIU) has conditionally withdrawn permanent expulsion orders against several students following day-long protests and an ultimatum from students.
However, some students remain temporarily suspended for two semesters, according to local media reports.
The decision came at an emergency meeting of the university's disciplinary committee on Saturday night (21 June). A notice signed by Registrar Dr Md Zulfiqar Rahman confirmed the development.
