Dhaka, March 2 -- Dhaka metro rail authorities are allowing passengers to carry 250 ml of drinking water while using the mass transit service so they can break their fasts at "Iftar" during the holy Islamic month of Ramadan.

However, no other food items will be allowed, the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited, or DMTCL, said in a notice.

The notice, signed by DMTCL MRT Line-6 deputy project director (public relations), said each passenger will be allowed to carry a maximum of 250 ml drinking water for Iftar at metro rail stations and trains.
