Dhaka, Jan. 30 -- The poverty map on Thursday revealed that the country is on massive economic disparities, with Paltan in Dhaka having emerged as one of the wealthiest areas, where only 1.0 per cent of residents live below the poverty line.
In contrast, Dasar in Madaripur has been identified as the poorest area in the Dhaka division, with a staggering 63.2 per cent of the population living under the upper poverty line, Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) 'Poverty Map of Bangladesh 2022' showed.
