Dhaka, April 24 -- On the heels of rising tension between Delhi and Islamabad, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has deferred his Bangladesh visit, scheduled to take place on April 26-28.

"We have requested the deferment, and a new date is yet to be finalised," a spokesperson of the Pakistan High Commission told the FE on Thursday evening.

Mr Dar was scheduled to meet Bangladesh's Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain on Monday morning at the State Guest House Padma, and was scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus in the afternoon notecards before his departure.
