Dhaka, June 2 -- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Mohammad Sajjad Ali on Sunday said that cattle market leaseholders will not be allowed to collect taxes beyond government fixed rates.

He also warned that stern legal action will be taken against those who forcibly take cattle-carrying vehicles to a different market than the vehicles are designated for.

"The cattle markets will be allowed in designated places set by city corporations, and if anyone tries to set up a cattle market anywhere else, police officials concerned will look into it," he said.
