Dhaka, Aug. 15 -- The first-ever fuel oil transportation from Chattogram to Dhaka through a newly constructed oil pipeline is set to begin tomorrow (Saturday).

The construction of the country's first oil transportation pipeline has been completed, costing Tk 36 billion. This enables BPC to save time, costs, and reduce system loss and environmental pollution.

Energy Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan will formally inaugurate the transportation at the Dispatch Centre in Patenga, the port city.

Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources ministry, Mohammad Saiful Islam, and Engineer-in-Chief of the Bangladesh Army, Major General Md. Hasan-uz-Zaman, will be special guests at the ceremony.
