Dhaka, Jan. 24 -- North South University (NSU) arranged an orientation programme for its newly enrolled students of Spring Semester.

Prof Atiqul Islam, vice-chancellor of NSU, presided over the programme, according to a statement.

Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh was present in the programme as the chief guest.

In his speech, the mayor urged students to contribute to the country's development and build a 'smart Bangladesh' by 2041.

Among others, Ms Seema Ahmad, Shahriar Kamal, and Yasmin Kamal, members of the Board of Trustees of NSU, attended the programme as the special guests.
