Dhaka, Dec. 9 -- NRBC Bank arranged a workshop on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS-9) on Tuesday at their Human Resource and Training Development Centre (HRTDC), according to a press release.

Dr. Md Touhidul Alam Khan, Managing Director & CEO, was the chief guest at the workshop. Raditha Alahakoon, Partner, KPMG- Sri Lanka, has given a presentation on the topic of steps towards implementing 'IFRS 9 - Financial Instruments', more specifically, the Expected Credit Loss (ECL) based loan classification and provisioning, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country's banking industry, as per the guidelines of Bangladesh Bank.
