Dhaka, Aug. 28 -- The Bangladesh Army has not been instructed by the government to perform any duties in the upcoming central student union elections at universities, and there is no possibility of such involvement in the future.

This clarification came through a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday.

The release noted that recently, various media outlets and social media platforms have circulated reports regarding the possible deployment of the Bangladesh Army in the forthcoming university central student union elections.
