Dhaka, June 2 -- BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury has criticised the proposed Tk 7.89 trillion budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year, saying it lacks any qualitative change.
"The budget should have been smaller. We see no qualitative change in it," he told a press briefing at the BNP chairperson's political office in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Monday.
He said the overall structure of the budget remained unchanged, adding that only the numbers had been revised.
"This budget will not make things easier for the next government," Chowdhury warned.
