Dhaka, Feb. 13 -- Prof Dr Kazi Din Mohammad, director of the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Dhaka, has requested the termination of his contractual appointment.

On Wednesday, he submitted a letter to Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum requesting the cancellation of his appointment, reports bdnews24.com.

Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, spokesperson for the Medical Education and Family Welfare Division, told bdnews24.com: "He has submitted a letter to the health advisor requesting the termination of his contract-based appointment, citing his inability to continue. The letter has been forwarded to the public administration ministry for further action."
