Dhaka, July 21 -- Law-enforcing agencies have stepped up security in Khagrachhari ahead of the National Citizen Party's "July March" programme.
The march is scheduled to begin at 12:00 pm on Monday from Chengi Square in Khagrachhari town, followed by a rally at the town's Mukto Moncho.
Khagrachhari Superintendent of Police Arefin Jewel said police are on high alert. A total of 620 police personnel have been deployed. Armed Police Battalion and the Army are also on standby, as per a bdnews24.com report.
Various parts of the town are bedecked with banners and festoons welcoming NCP leaders ahead of the event, with law enforcers stationed at key intersections.
