Dhaka, Nov. 15 -- National Citizen Party (NCP) member-secretary Akhtar Hossain has urged the government to immediately clarify the July Charter Implementation Order, saying that several ambiguities in the directive have already created confusion.
He says a lack of clarity has led to a crisis, and the government should remove these ambiguities without delay.
"In question (a) of the referendum, it is unclear whether the 'Note of Dissent' will be effective," Akhtar said. "But due to ambiguous definitions in the Charter, there remains scope for misinterpretation. In the future, any party might refuse to accept the popular mandate even after winning the 'yes' vote."
