Dhaka, June 26 -- Amid the ongoing unrest at the National Board of Revenue (NBR), its Chairman Md Abdur Rahman Khan admitted that he is currently in a very difficult situation.

He also expressed hope that the movement would be resolved through discussions with the Finance Adviser.

Speaking at a seminar organised by the Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) on Thursday, the NBR chairman said,

"I am actually in a very difficult situation today. You all know that, particularly regarding NBR reforms, the decisions taken by the Honourable Chief Adviser and the interim government have sparked disagreements among many of our officials and staff."
