Dhaka, Feb. 8 -- The National Citizens' Committee has demanded that Home Advisor Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury apologise and resign following the attack on students at the home of former Liberation War affairs minister AKM Mozammel Haque in Gazipur.

The activists also demanded the resignations of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner and the local deputy commissioner, reports bdnews24.com.

Ali Naser Khan, a central organiser for the NCC, made the demand at 11:30 am on Saturday from the city's Bhawal Rajbari field at a rally organised by the organisation's Gazipur district and metropolitan wings.
