Dhaka, March 31 -- Bangladesh has begun celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the greatest religious festivals of the Muslims, with fervour and devotion.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Chief Adviser to the interim government Prof Muhammad Yunus have greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The main congregation in Dhaka took place at the Jatiya Eidgah ground adjacent to the High Court.
